Loved dining at the organic restaurant at 7:30am, felt like I was saving the planet with every bite. The airport shuttle was fantastic, saved me from hailing a cab like a peasant. The cultural highlights were a nice distraction from the lackluster room.
The room was so budget-friendly I could practically hear the pennies being saved.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. They even arranged affordable cabs for me. The rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing after a long day in the sun. The area felt safe and was close to the grand mosque. The staff were accommodating when my flight was canceled and I had already checked out. The wifi was reliable, and the airport shuttle service was convenient.

Great Value for Money
We calmly explained the situation and even showed him the confirmed price on his own computer. However, he insisted that the room was no longer available at the original price and demanded a higher payment.
While there were some negative aspects, such as the shower not working and the unfriendly vibes from a few staff members, we believe the hostel offers good value for money. We would recommend it as a budget-friendly option for travelers, especially those visiting the area near the airport.

The price and location of this hostel were unbeatable! As a backpacker, I couldn't have asked for a better deal. the daily cleaning of the bathrooms in the dorms was a plus, ensuring a hygienic stay. the staff were incredibly helpful, assisting me with navigating local transportation. the bus stop just around the corner was a convenient way to reach the city center and the port for ferry rides. the presence of a clothesline and a lovely terrace on the roof added to the overall appeal of the hostel.
The hostel's location was not ideal, as it was not central to many attractions. Finding nearby restaurants within walking distance was also a challenge.

Friendly and helpful staff, always willing to assist with transportation and recommendations. Nice location, not on a busy street, which made for a peaceful stay. Close proximity to restaurants and local eateries, giving the opportunity to try both local and European dishes.
Some rooms lacked secure storage options for personal belongings. Mixed experiences with the attitude of some staff members.

Great value for money at DIH. I was pleasantly surprised by the English-speaking staff, a rarity in Senegal. The common area was a cozy place to relax, and the breakfast, although different from the menu, was delicious and affordable. The hostel's location near a bus stop made getting around easy. I had a positive experience and would recommend DIH for a budget stay in Dakar.

I had a great experience at DIH! the staff were friendly and always happy to help, whether it was giving directions or arranging a cheaper cab for me. Amed, in particular, was a cool and ambitious guy who made my stay even more enjoyable. the location was perfect, near the grand mosque and with a football field across the street where I could watch the talented teenagers play. the terrace on the top of the building was a great spot to relax with a beer and unwind after a long day in the sun. I really enjoyed my stay at International House. Cons: It was all superb! 😊👍.

I recently stayed at DIH for a week and had a fantastic experience. The staff, particularly Mohamed and the other guys, were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome. The cleaning lady and the young guy were also nice. They provided me with a mosquito net, which was essential in this area. The staff were always happy to help with any questions or arrange a cab, which was cheaper than hailing one on the street. The rooftop terrace was a great place to unwind with a beer, and the area felt safe even at night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at DIH.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
